Interior and film

“I believe in individuality and honest creation and expression but never for the it, the now, or the repetition of the popular.”

Halfdan Pedersen studied film production in Los Angeles. After 10 years working on set design in the commercial film and photography world of Hollywood he was drawn back to his native Iceland to find a slower pace in life. He founded Baulhus in 2006, named after his grandmothers birthplace in the remote west fjord of Arnarfjörður. After a few years of film work in Iceland, Halfdan was offered to design a store for a new clothing retailer in Reykjavik, Geysir, which led to many other stores and multible other projects. Although occasionally committing to feature films or theatre productions, interiors have been the bulk of his work ever since.
